My name is Dan Krier. I am a PhD of media and communications with over 14 years of teaching experience. I have been tutoring online via Zoom since September of 2020 and have logged hundreds of hours tutoring dozens of satisfied parents and students in the past year.
Other than teaching and tutoring, I am writer, researcher, and professor. I live in Champaign with my wife Katie, who coaches soccer for Parkland College.
I hold a Ph.D. in media and communications from Michigan State University (dissertation defended May of 2017). Prior to that, I worked as a sports journalist and lived in Los Angeles, where I earned an M.F.A. degree in screenwriting from the University of Southern California Film School (the USC School of Cinematic Arts). I also received a B.A. in cellular & molecular biology from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.
I love learning, but I love teaching and helping others even more. My tutoring has helped students achieve A+ grades, and my test prep has helped students score as high as a 34 on the ACT.
Feel free to email me with any questions at “firstname.lastname@example.org“.
My greatest joy in life is to help others learn! 🙂
